DroneSkycast ("we", "us", "our") operates the DroneSkycast service accessible at droneskycast.com. For GDPR purposes, DroneSkycast acts as the data controller for personal data collected through the Service.

3. Third Parties We Share Data With

We use the data from our users to get the latest weather data from our providers and to generate AI briefings. We also use it to manage accounts, provide customer support, and send important notifications (e.g., subscription updates, security alerts). We do not sell personal data to third parties. We do not use data for advertising purposes.

5. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Erasure (GDPR Art. 17) — request deletion of your account and all associated data
  • Portability (GDPR Art. 20) — export your data in machine-readable JSON format
  • Rectification (GDPR Art. 16) — correct inaccurate personal data via your profile settings
  • Objection (GDPR Art. 21) — object to processing based on legitimate interests

You can exercise your deletion and export rights directly from your Profile settings. For other requests, fill out our contact form. We will respond within 30 days.

6. Cookies

By using DroneSkycast you agree to our use of cookies. We use the following:

  • Essential: Session authentication token — required for the Service to function.
  • Preferences: UI theme, saved drone model — stored in localStorage, not transmitted to servers.
  • Analytics: Anonymous usage events (page views, feature interactions) to help us improve the product. No personally identifiable information is collected in analytics events.

7. Data Security

We protect your data using industry-standard security measures including: bcrypt password hashing, HTTPS encryption in transit, rate limiting on authentication endpoints, and encrypted storage of third-party API tokens. In the event of a data breach, we will notify affected users and relevant supervisory authorities within 72 hours as required by GDPR Article 33.

9. Children

The Service is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification at least 30 days before they take effect. The version number and "last updated" date at the top of this page always reflect the current version.
